Only as required by the state in CA - Managers would try to take sick days to extend their paid vacation time. Poor integrity, enforcement and accountability.

The company says we have sick days. In truth, we're expected to work even if we've recently been hospitalized. The emphasis on not coming in while contagious is for patients, not employees. Sick days leave the pharmacy even more short-staffed than normal, so people scramble to cover medically necessary absences.

It was nice to have sick days. however we had to tell management the day of payroll and sometimes they'd forget.

There is retaliation if an employee takes more than 1 day off.

Hard to take as you as a manager had no coverage. Great if your an hourly employee. They say a week but, I had DM 's ok a month of sick days for crew members.

Small number of Sick Days available to employees and do not try to use during the busy (sick!) winter season! CVS does not want employees to call in sick and management makes that very clear.
