Short-Term Disability Insurance

Short-Term Disability (STD) Insurance replaces a portion of your income if an injury or illness forces you out of work for an extended period of time. Carpenter Technology provides STD coverage at nocost to you and enrollment is automatic. The coverage protects your income in the event of a nonwork related injury or illness, for up to 26 weeks.

Voluntary Long-Term Disability Insurance

Voluntary Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance coverage provides a monthly benefit equal to 60% of your Benefits Base Pay to a maximum per month of $10,000 if you are unable to work after you have been disabled for six months.

The Voluntary LTD benefit is subject to a 12-month pre-existing condition clause from the date of enrollment. Pre-existing condition means a sickness or accidental injury in the three months before your LTD insurance takes effect
