Cisco does try to be diverse. Unfortunately, due to the a lack of diversity in the supply pipeline itself, there's not much that can be done. >90% of my team is males, mostly white, indian or chinese origin. That's a common problem across all software teams (especially in OS and networking in my experience). Eventually, Cisco is a merit based organization, and they do look for specific skills and requirements, and there's not much one can do about that.

Cisco is working very hard on diversity, particularly in bringing women in. I think it is distracting them from core business principles but it seems to be the norm in the industry. If you care about diversity you will probably like this, if you want to see Cisco's business growth rate improve maybe this would be a "2"
