Bonus is based on your performace in Completion, Points Per Hour, Connectivity, CSAT, TC12%. Completion, how many jobs are you assigned that you complete, can be affected by apatments/landlords (Dish's not allowed, or not allowed where you need it to be), customer cancellations (because they forgot appointment, weren't home, changed their mind, etc), and legitamate No Line of Sight (can't see the satellite you need for service). You are expected (in my area) to complete 88% or be fired, 92% for bonus or promotion. Points per hour: each job is awarded a certain amount of points, it doesn't matter where it is, just how many rooms, what kind of dish, etc. This can be affected by dispatch (where they route you to complete jobs), management (what are they requiring you to do that is not compensated for in points), climate (snow, rain, extreme heat slow you down; sunny 75 degree days make everything go so fast), and your work ethic. PPH was never a big thing for those who worked efficiently and quickly. Bad days and good days tend to even out. In my area 5.5 PPH was expected or they would fire you, 6.2 PPH for bonus/promotion. Connectivity requires you to connect certain receivers to the internet, this can be affected by people not having internet, crazy people who think the box is reporting what they watch, people who actually know that the box is reporting what they watch, etc. My area requires 50% before you are fired, for bonus/promotion 75% (good f*cking luck). Customers get a survey after you've completed an appointment, the results are recorded 1-10 (zero being the ten score), the questions are based on the type of appointment. This can be affected by the spouse not at home when you did the work getting the call (especially if they don't like where the dish is), someone missing the call, someone answering anything less than 10. You are expected to meet at least 9.6 average to stay employed and 9.9 for bonus/promotion. TC12% is the percentage of jobs you complete that have to have a call to customer service that results in a shipment or a tech roll out within 12 days of you being there. This can be affected by so many different possibilities I will not list them, most boil down to, you did not educate the customer, you did not install the service correctly, the customer (or relative) did something to the system and could not figure it out (eye dee ten tee errors), or equipment failure. Now while good installation and education can prevent most TC12%s, some will always slip through, so the expectation is less than 5% to stay employed and less than 2% for bonus/promotion. Now will you hit enough of these metrics every now and then for bonus, yeah. Can they be cheated? Yeah. To hit them all, consistantly, for 3 months for promotion is very difficult (especially if you are cheating them). Best advice, get good, get promoted to a 3 or 4, and stay consistant.
