My position had nothing to do with the training I got because I'm on sort slide which is way different then working with pallets.

FedEx ground doesn't necessarily "train" their employees. You just have to catch on eventually. The job is pretty self-explanatory to say the least.

The training wasnt so bad ,it was a lot of lifting . A lot of heavy boxes . You also had to load your own truck and use a hand held device .

The training, I felt was 'crash course' . We were put in a room to watch a number of videos and a quick tour through the warehouse. There was no time for Questions or comments, since we were rushed.

They have you ride as a jumper while the driver tells you how to do the position, but mainly has you doing all the work.

There was A LOT to learn, as they have a different procedure for creating and revising different types of projects, and I had to learn to use their Adept software, a CAD file management system. It was a bit convoluted for small revisions, but I understand a large company using these procedures as a way of minimizing mistakes and miscommunications. My mentor, and others, were very patient with training me. As I was there during a slow time, all I did were as-builts and some revisions.
