Good retirement plan at FedEx

One of the last places to offer a full pension.

Traditional and portable plans. Traditional plan are for employees that are 100% vested - employed before 1988

Very low 401K match: • 100 percent on the first 1 percent of eligible earnings you contribute. • 50 percent on the next 5 percent of eligible earnings you contribute. Fully vested after one year of service. Eligible to participate on the exact day you reach age 21 and complete one month of service. Company also provides a Portable Pension Account (PPA) fully funded by the company. However, this is not like a defined benefit pension plan and doesn't amount to a lot even if you were to stay with FedEx for a 20 year career or more.

I'm not there yet but i hear it is good

The traditional annuity is excellent but discontinued after 2008 and replaced with a portable pension account which would take 70 working years to match 25 years under the original plan.

Best part of the company in my limited opinion. I am not a specialist but I have been very happy with Vanguard.
