Don't get any first 30 days.

Full time employees get 80 hours of sick time annually. But there are some insane rules about using it. For example, if you have a major illness or surgery, and have exhausted sick time, you are required to use all but 40 hours of paid time off (i.e., vacation) before going on short-term disability. However, for exempt employees, you get paid full salary for any day that you get sick during the day and have to leave regardless of the availability of sick time.
