Sick time is part of your PTO. At SVB we had 8 sick days in addition to PTO for us that are non exempt. So we lost time off in the acquisition. If you’re sick there goes your vacation days. And you can’t transfer over either at FCB for days you don’t use. Complete opposite of what SVB had. Non exempt employees of SVB lost out big time getting acquired by FCB. FCB will lose the talent as a result. They don’t pay attention and tell me well a branch worker can’t have that schedule! Great, I’m not a branch worker so thanks for lumping me into a category I’m not even in?! How about you separate us from branch workers?! Novel idea! Not! Listen to the SVBers. Stop categorizing us as a branch worker.

Don't plan on being sick and calling out unless you want to lose a vacation day. They consider all days possible to have off as vacation days. You get 16-20 days off for sick, personal, and vacation
