Job Training

The training was every day for 2 weeks. You need to pass all of the exams to get to the next level.

Management are good about getting you on the road asap but love too drag their heels, when you need additional training especially for the longest routes spedbusses. Currently been waiting 3 months for that training with no luck, they don't teach you how too use the zonar systems or how to fill out paper work. You learn after they chew you out for doing it wrong as they didn't want too answer your questions the first time.

They really spend their time making sure you know what you're doing

Job training is very thorough, because it MUST be. The safety of children, general public, and expensive vehicles is at stake.

The trainers were really great. Even though I had previous experience I still needed some behind the wheel training. I feel like I learned a lot from them.

Training at First Student is very thorough because they are training you to pass the States Commercial Driver's license tests.

Training is minimal at best

They are very thorough in training you to do your job. Once hired, you also have the ability to request additional help. Superb training.

They train us for everything! in the beginning they give you a start bons that is you paid training to get your CDL. Not an hourly rate. When we have meetings and such with training videos we get $10.00 per hour. Usually only 1 hour.
