Just basic skills for customer service, not much other than that was really provided to me, while I was employed at this location.

There was no training because the manager there did not know anything about repairing computers so I had to learn how to use their systems by my self.

It is hit and miss. while they have online courses and various up to date training materials on products and services. Sometimes it really takes that hands-on experience with a mentor to learn the ins and outs of technology. Policy and procedures change as their business adapts to the ever-changing business. Their peer support structure for help makes sure no one should feel alone in the field to tackle a difficult task. Taking an online course, unfortunately, does not make the new hire instantly an expert. Peer mentoring on technical positions is invaluable.

Job training is you sitting in front of a computer doing e-learnings then getting out on the floor to shadow someone for a day or 2 at best

There is very little specific job training. Most are hired for their ability to sell services. In my experience, you learn on the job from coworkers and are often expected to complete basic repairs you have had little to no experience with.
