I worked from home, but the disadvantage is that in a very political environment (which Genesys has nowadays) you don't have the opportunity to build the relationships that keep you from being laid off.

Not everyone gets to, but I do when I need to and it is a huge help to me. I feel like this flexibility helps me be more productive, even when something happens that doesn't allow me to be in the office. Very easy to be productive on my team and still work together as a team no matter where we are.

Because the customer base was national, some calls would start before the business day on the East Coast (6:30 am) which is very early on the West Coast. Having the ability to not have to go into an office is very good at such times.
