This is the one that's a problem. The health insurance is terrible. They force you off of it for 2 months of the year during furlough. Qualifying for it is like jumping though hoops while pulling teeth. It's immoral. They would be able to hire more workers if they were willing to cover year-round associates during their 2 month unpaid mandatory furlough, or if they were willing to simply stop forcing people to take the furlough. People *need* health insurance, and in the USA health insurance is inextricably tied to your job, and the way that they 'offer' it can make it impossible to get health insurance through the state, while not offering an actual viable alternative through the company.

Seasonal employees qualify for insurance after attaining 1000 hours in the calendar year, which is not attainable during the tax season itself. Company forces 8 weeks of unpaid furlough, during which time you are terminated and no longer available for group insurance. To maintain insurance must pay COBRA rates, which is hundreds of dollars, during the time you have no income. This makes you ineligible for marketplace insurance during most of the year, as the premiums are affordable while under contract.

It is too expensive to use. As a temp., seasonal employee, the health and dental insurance sucks.
