The company removed 401k match when it became an ESOP in 2025, citing that the shares that employees will be given as part of the ESOP will outweigh the benefit of 401k match. You have to be at the company for 6 years to fully vest your ESOP shares and it then takes years after you leave to get the value of those shares given to you.
