Points based attendance system. If you receive over seven (7) points in a rolling year you are placed on probation for three months where you cannot incur any more points. If you incur any points within that three month period you will then be placed on a six month probation. If you incur any points during that six month period you will be placed on another six month probation no matter how far you were into the original six months. If you incur any points at any time into the second six month probation you will be fired. Absences over one day require a doctors' note or you will receive additional points for every day missed. The number of points given for a call out depends on how far before you shift you notify them, and can go as high as three points for a one day absence. Being tardy, forgetting to punch in or out will also earn points. Sick time and vacation time are from the same bank. You often must choose between taking a vacation or staying home when sick.

Sick days are lumped into the Paid Time Off (PTO) bank. JetBlue gives you the flexibility to use the hours as you like.
