50% of matching of employee contributions up to 4% of total salary. It would be great if matching was allowed at a higher percent.

One of the best features was that Lockheed Martin provided a 4% match for employee contributions, within specific guidelines.

This program got a lot of people involved once LM made some enhancements. Great Plan. Now I’m not employed with the company I’m not allowed to contribute to the plan. I just let it sit there. Also I lost my employer stocks that were in the savings 401k plan. Again if you’re in it’s great and once they decide you’re not needed anymore they treat you as a nobody.

Options were available for employees to decide how involved they wanted to be in the investments for their 401K. Target year funds for those that didn't want to be involved all the way to self managed funds for those that wanted to be very involved.
