401K Plan

"50% match up to 8%, plus 6% on top, for a grand total of 10%. This is outstanding and I do not know of anyone who tops that. If you make $100 and max out your 401k, you're putting away $28k a year."

Was a great company to work for - I'm sure there are better out there, but for the geographic area I was in - can't be beat.

Benefits are not great, but are okay. Paid time off normally starts at three weeks annually plus five days of personal time. All sick days have to be taken from paid-time-off or personal time.

Some of the benefits choices are pretty limiting as far as provider choices. Tends to be pretty narrow selections. Cost of dental is high.

401k is pretty solid the rest of the benefits package needs to be improved. Medical and dental are expensive and the coverage is poor.

The health benefits package has changed significantly, probably in line with industry standards in the more recent years.

4 weeks vacation, 1 week sick, 1 week personal, plus 1 week off during Christmas and New Years for plant shut down. Also an option to buy additional time off.

The pay is above average for a defense contractor, the health insurance and dental/vision benefits are reasonably priced (there is only 1 health insurance plan to pick from). The 401k is about average with company matching. Good work life balance, very flexible schedule and I mostly worked 40 hours/week. Paid time off is accrued monthly and is average for the industry.
