"50% match up to 8%, plus 6% on top, for a grand total of 10%. This is outstanding and I do not know of anyone who tops that. If you make $100 and max out your 401k, you're putting away $28k a year."

Health care is disappointing for such a big company, but standard PTO is 4 weeks (no separate sick time), plus 12ish holidays, which is pretty good. And the flexible work schedule 9/80 or 4/10s is a nice perk. Retirement match is up to 10% and vests immediately which rocks.

The benefits are sub-par to what they used to be. Especially compared to what the company brings in each quarter in profit. Also keep in mind that there is (ZERO) benefits to working hard and going above and beyond. People Blame the union for this but i blame the company due to their massive ability to easily step up there benefits game for their employees but refusing to due so. Over the years they have slowly stripped the good benefits form its employees and replaced them with sub-par ones. Just and insight to what its like would be for example, I pay $1000-$1200 monthly to receive benefits for me and my family (Me, Wife, and two kids). I then have to Pay almost $7K out of pocket and deductible for Medical insurance while i put $100 weekly into an HSA to afford things if something happens. Id say i spend roughly $20,000 a year give or take for benefits. Dental and Vision are ok for bare minimum coverage. I love my job and what i do, and the pay is decent. The WLB is ok as well if you can manage your time depending on which shift your on and your personal priorities. Overall it is a decent job and will pay the bills plus a little extra if you manage your finances decently. Just do your research and shop around before making a decision. Hope this helps if your on the fence. I am not trying to scare anyone away or talk down about this job cause it is a great job. I just want to be transparent and real about what the benefits are like. They are nowhere near what they used to be so keep that in mind.
