There really isn't anything bad about it. Its pretty nice, you can contribute as much or as little as you want and Merck will contribute up to six percent or at least 75 cents of each dollar.

The plan is good. They will give you 4.5% if you put in 6% but that's the max they will match. But it's better than nothing! It is matched, though, in company stock, not dollars.

They have a decent matching percentage for the first few thousand deposited, the accounts are managed by Fidelity and use low or zero load Fidelity funds, and company stock purchase is also available in the 401K.
