Retirement Plan

Contributes to retirement plan for your benefit equal to other employers in this industry.

See my comments related to the 401(k) plan. In addition to the standard 401(k) plan, MetLife offers a defined benefit plan of sorts, which is fully funded by MetLife and which I believe credits up to 5% of your eligible pay to a special account.

They still offer a pension- vested at 5 years

Pension, but you have to stay 20 years. I voluntarily left but 20 years here with the annual lay offs is pretty difficult

I had the traditional plan which they no longer offer. Will provide @ $20k per year at age 65.

The retirement plan was as good as expected from a company. Nothing bad to say.
