Good: 3 weeks PTO, plus sick leave. Bad: Its not unlimited.

Typically start at 2 weeks. Takes a long time to get to 4 weeks.

They updated and improved vacation policies. No clear comp time polices for working over 60 years a week.

Short of a government/teaching job it's above average for what you'd expect - options for family leave, separate sick time, decent vacation after being employed for a while, doesn't have that trap/scam of "unlimited vacation" that results in pressure not to take time off.

NI frontloads their vacation--that is, at the beginning of the year, you get all your vacation for the year. So you can take that two week vacation to Brazil in February, if you want. :)

Capped at two weeks paid time off per year with no room for additional vacation time.

NI's vacation is accumulated separately of sick/bereavement/family paid-time-off and often falls short of the lifestyles of young Austin professionals. Especially when many other companies in Austin are now offering unlimited vacation.
