Expensive, even the low deductible plan has a high deductible, astronomical out of pocket max, and covers fewer common meds and supplies than most insurance. As a person with health disabilities, I had to plan for my out of pocket costs to triple in order to be able to take this job - and that was an underestimate because some of my meds were unaffordable with OptumRx benefits and I needed to go with GoodRx instead, which means they don’t count toward either deductible or OOPM.
My diabetes equipment that is approved for my type of diabetes by Medicare and nearly every private insurer was just denied. I am working to appeal, but have spent so many hours in the last two months trying to sort out utilizing the coverage I have for routine, evidence-based healthcare.

pro: UHC is accepted at a lot of places.
Con: they are such a big company that communication is terrible and any issues with claims don't seem to be resolved easily, if at all.
