For being an Optum / UHG employee, you do not get any discount. To the contrary, it is ridiculously expense and coverage / benefits are not good at all.

The benefits offered are at a decent cost. There are many options to choose from as well as 401K options available.

Best is various options and the one I chose pretty cheap with decent copays. Worst is coverage issues. Had to go to 23 and Me to get a diagnosis because it took too much fighting with my insurance to get them to cover it.

They offer very affordable health insurance for their employees. The only downside I've had is a Dr's office sent me a bill that my insurance covered, but after contacting my insurance office they took care of it.

Higher deductibles than I would have liked, but overall not bad options for health plans compared to other employers.

Insurance is reasonable for the times. I only had a single policy so I don't know if they family policies are better/worse.
