40hrs of volunteer time. In recent years, more volunteer time off was given to encourage the contributions to the society.

I don't remember much about Volunteer Time Off. From what I recall, it was comparable to other consulting firms. However, it is challenging finding time for Volunteer work, given intense demands from management and clients.

You can take a day or two off during normal working hours every year. Assuming you have that extra time to spend, it is a great opportunity to be able to do some good and still get paid. I do some volunteer work on Sundays, so it doesn't help me out personally, but it is a good thing.
