This system needs major work. There isn't a consistent view of the professional development process or standard across the organization. Which is a honest shame.

There are plenty of informal and formal opportunities for professional development, both through in-person training and online training offerings. The best way to grow, however, is to collaborate with other teams and learn new skills from cross-functional projects. The only problem is that there is little time to engage in formal professional development given the sheer volume of work that needs to be done.
