High deductibles, copays aren't that great... there isn't a good plan for people who know they have pre-existing health issues.

Was once great - no employee pay, no co-pay. Has slowly had cost transferred to employees, but I guess that's everywhere these days.

Very good. In 2009, while traveling, I caught swine flu from a woman who was staying in the same hotel I was. After a couple of weeks of coughing and having my doctor tell me I had a bad case of bronchitis, I ended up in the hospital with full-blown pneumonia in both lungs, all 4 lobes. I discovered that I was lucky because I had viral pneumonia. Apparently bacterial pneumonia is more deadly. Long story short, if my insurance had not been so good, I might not be here now. So, kudos on the insurance front. They also offer insurance for long-term care, which is good.

We've occasionally needed to get a health advocate involved to get expensive bills paid.

For high deductible plan, SAP provides a company contribution to your HSA account, which is fantastic!
