$150 additional penalty to cover a spouse if they have the ability to get insurance elsewhere. Since they only offer a 3 tier plan (emp only, emp+1, and family - note the lack of emp+dependents option), this penalizes anyone with a family plan. Since the Dean/SSM Merger, all of us who work in Wisconsin have had our benefits stripped down.

Deductibles are high and physicians are limited to SSM doctors which are not exactly the best.

401K is matched up to a certain amount !

Anyone who thinks this is expensive, I would love to see where you will pay less. I don't know anyone who pays less than I do. Also, you have to see drs that are in the managed care org, not just SSM facilities.

You pay more than other local companies for Dean even though it's owned by Dean.

Becoming more and more expensive. Not a great option for people with families. Limited to Dean's own docs.

Paid completely by hospital, very good benefits.

The health insurance is very cheap. However you can only use SSM facilities. That doesn't help much if sick or injured out of town.

Good if you could afford top tier
