They pay 80% of premiums and a large percentage of dependents as well. My insurance for my wife and I is cheaper than hers alone via her employer which is a large hospital system.

$15 for outpatient surgery? Hell yea! I pay more filling up my car these days. Great great health benefits.

We seem to have good healthcare. And I believe there is an HSA available if anyone wants to go that route. But I haven't fully tested the bounds of the benefit.

It's affordable. Even the high deductible plans have an insanely low deductible -- plus Salesforce chips in 50% of your deductible a year.

From a PPO perspective, the health plan is largely Aetna. I have found there are certain things that Aetna just doesn't cover where other, more progressive insurers do. No fault of salesforce's, just the situation when working with Aetna. Also, in my experience in the Bay Area, it seems that not many many doctors are part of the Aetna network which drives the selection of the more expensive PPO option so I can go out of network. I've heard that other health plans have many more physicians willing to be in network.
