Vacation & Paid Time Off

Does not add up quickly. After 90 day probation, you start to accrue approx. 12 PTO hours per month. You also receive extended illness hours which you can only use after your PTO bank is empty. You also get 3 holidays off and must work 3 holidays (scheduling manager decides which). No free paid days off. Penalty points for sick call-outs, family emergency, tardy, early/late clock-in/out. Rack up 20 points and you are fired. Bereavement for immediate family is 24 hours (only 2 days if you work 12 hour shift and 3 for 8 hour shift) I believe most companies give 40 hours for immediate family death.

Federal holidays built into PTO, not true paid holidays, you have to use PTO to pay for those days. So if new hire will lose a day of pay in this case.

Had earned 2 weeks vacation and some extended illness days that I could have used. Not too bad considering the poor health plan costs that I had to deal with.

Last job I received 6 days my first year and 11 days my second year .. this company gives you 3 weeks your first year

Accrual is good. Average about 18 days a year for the first 3 years and then it increases at 4, 5 and 10 years. Also get 6 paid holidays on top of the paid time off. Also offer extended illness days for longer cases of illness or surgeries.

You manager can make you use PTO time without your knowledge. They offer the least amount I have had anywhere I have worked. 2 weeks. Whoop Dee Fricken Doo
