Retirement Plan

Pension worth 60 percent of final years compensation, best in industry. Stopped for new hires in 2013, replaced with a pension not as rich, but still very nice.

Pension benefits are the best I've heard of in the Oil & Gas industry, which are better than any I've heard of in any other industry in the U.S.

Offers pension plan. Offered two different path when I jointed.

Shell shifted from a point system where the company seemed to contribute more benefits, to a 401k w/small match + small pension. In general, newer employees seem to wish they'd received the 80 point plan. I do not have the specifics as I write this.

Retirement plan is good, if you are lucky to stay long enough to accumulate points and retire from Shell...

Shell still offers a pension when very few companies still do.
