The one time I ever visited the dentist with Staples dental insurance, I called to ask where to go (in network) and how much I would owe. My claim was rejected because I hadn't gone 3 months after they initiated the plan. This was surprising because I thought I was after the three month waiting period and I had called and asked whether I was covered, but they refused to cover me. Looking further into the plan, any significant work is not covered. Deductible is high. Pretty much entitles you to group rates/discounts on services provided by dentist, which you can negotiate even lower (I did when my coverage was rejected).
