They lump it all in with your overall PTO, so vacation or sick, it all comes from the same pool of time. Get really sick, no vacation for you. Go on vacation? Don't get sick.

I still have 40 hours of sick time if u call out u lose a day or they have u work another day instead of using ur time. It's horrible

You do not get paid for your sick days at all, and you do not have a lot of sick days to take, because they do not accumulate over time.
