Excellent to have the work from home option, with some regularity (the current company assumption is that everybody does it on Friday). However, on days other than Friday, management will try to enforce that employees should work at the Tech Mahindra facility in the middle-of-nowhere area in Redmond whenever possible, and are obsessed with bean-counting how many of their employees are working off-site (even to meet with clients for important meetings). While management occasionally expresses pity for employees who are stuck to mass transit due to physical disability, saving face to their TechM supervisors will always trump any compassion they may have for employees. Also, in a way, work from home is abused, because the assumption is that the worker will continue working through illness, by working from home. (Employees get only two paid sick days per year, and those will only be granted after a doctor's note is submitted -- and good luck getting it accepted at HR).
