Employee Stock Purchase Plan

As an engineer who wanted more stock than salary and made that clear, I'm not the right person to speak on the ESPP, only that it was like every other large company and totally worth it.

It's a very good thing to have for you and your family

Would be nice to make enough money to be able to participate. Currently making $15k less per year than market rate for my skills.

This is where you can make up some of the compensation downfalls. E.g. If you make $100k, you can invest $15k and expect to receive a 15% minimum return on that through stock discount. If the stock swings big during the 6mo period, you can have 50%+ gains on your 15% investment. Caution: this is a gross percentage that comes out of your net cash, so it is a big hit on your cash flow and should be considered.

This plan is OK. But it has faults! You max out at 15% of your pay each pay period. You do not "always" get this. System "issues" and other excuses to rip you off from trying to get ahead.
