(Non union employees) New hires are only offered a choice of two high deductible plans. Existing employees still have a traditional PPO option but it will most likely be phased out at some point. If you build up an HSA, a high deductible plan is ok but for those with limited savings, paying the deductible can be a challenge.

Union protected employees health insurance is the best money can buy. If you are not union or management it is substandard, I don't even carry it. Spouse is not covered if they have insurance available through their own employer.
