The best is its free. The worst is that DHA took over for all military health and it now takes longer to get care.

Health insurance is good because it is free only if you are active duty but quality wise its not up there

Worst thing would be having to pay for it while some private companies pay 100% of the employee cost.

Good for standard government service

Tri-care is very good health system for you and your dependents pay $0 for almost all types of medical, dental, behavioral, and optometric care. On post, you don't ever see any billing statement, you can get all your prescriptions from the pharmacy at no cost, it's amazing.

It’s OK if you’re CONUS. Once you’re OCONUS family members are a last priority and generally care for service members is lacking. It was near impossible to get regular care.

Best thing is the cost. Worst thing is not being able to pick your doctor.

Free health care but drawback is having to schedule far out and get referrals from your Primary care manager
