Walgreens employees who work 30+ hours per week can choose between two health insurance plans. Comprehensive health, dental and vision plans are available to employees for themselves and their dependents. Employees may choose to enroll in one of two Walgreens Consumer Driven Health Plans, which include an account called a Health Reimbursement Account to help pay for our employees’ healthcare needs. Employees can also choose between two dental programs with the Select option including Adult and Child orthodontia. A competitive and national vision program is also available. 2015 benefits will consist of a wide variety of medical, dental and vision options open to employees at the beginning of the new year.

Straight-up, laughably, bad. You supposedly get a "credit" to help you purchase insurance on a corporate exchange. Oddly, even with this supposed credit, the cost to you is still about the same as buying it on the open market. Want to know how much your insurance will cost, just browse the plans at BCBS of illinois, or Aetna, or United Health care. Their private, individual insurance is about the same as what you'll pay as a Walgreens employee.

I'm not fond of it. I feel we pay way to much to still have to pay a lot out of pocket.

I rarely went to doctors or hospitals so not sure, but employees who did use these services said that compared to their spouses plan, Walgreens plans are not good.

Absolutely terrible, especially because Walgreen's health benefits are an exact opposite of their Happy and Healthy slogan. Only upper management can ever afford to pay for this incredibly over-priced service.

It's some of the best, but like I said, it takes its toll on your paycheck if you're only making miniimum wage.
