had a very good retirement plan. Unfortunately that plan will not come to full maturity for me as we are closing down the DC.

Thier profit sharing plan really shines as they match dollar for dollar up to 4% of your contributions guaranteed. They also give a discretionary distribution based on company profits for the year. This i would say is Walgreen only redeeming quality. If you work for Walgreen MAKE SURE you are signed up for profit sharing. The money will be your to take even if you leave later because you are 100% vested from the day you become eligible. Be smart and pay yourself first!!!!

put alot away on 401k and you'll be good
