when you average 30 or more hours per week, you are eligible for six paid sick days after six months of service. Sick time will be part of your PTO plan in 2014.

Sick Days are no longer offered, and have been combined with Vacation days to form the PTO plan.

PTO time. Must accumulate to get them. Only allowed to miss so many days a year before you get fired.I don't call off so I have accumulated them for the future, encase of a new knee replacement.

Walgreens took away all sick days. They "banked" all the sick days accumulated over the years (I had a lot), and now offer PTO for both sick days and vacation days. If an employee calls out sick they must use their vacation days until they run out. Then they can use the banked sick days. They can not, however, use those for vacation. Walgreens essentially used this to cut employee pay yet again. We used to get 6 sick days and 2 personal days per year. Now we get none.
