Is it worth calling in to ask if places are hiring even if they don't have anything open online? I've been desperately searching for over the past year, submitting applications to a lot of retail opportunities online only to be ghosted. Its getting so frustrating putting in all these little details online over and over again only to get no response. At this point, I feel like just ripping the band-aid off and calling in instead of wasting my time.
my manager(s) treat me so horrible for no reason at all, and there’s a very small select of us that are treated this way. my managers tell me off even for the slightest thing even wearing the wrong shoes but we could be wearing the exact same (in the uniform policy it’s closed toe black shoes but they say we need steel caps kind of thing) and they like to take away and add shifts without telling me beforehand which really messes up my plans. is there a way i can report them for treating me bad?
Is it ok to lie on your resume to make you sound more experienced. I know people do it but could they catch you out!! I'm from Reading , England
A new coworker came up to me and asked for my Snap. He is fully in his 40s, which seems old for someone on Snap. Is it a red flag when older adults are using Snap? His request made me uncomfortable.
Looking to change career paths but I’ve been struggling a lot to get any help. I’ve worked in hospitality for the last 7 years since graduating just before Covid and feel like I’ve trapped myself in the industry. I’ve got a degree in physical geography and would like to peruse a career in relation to that but I’m not sure where to go or what to do, any advice from people about changing careers in their late 20s?
