Spoke with a third party recruiter who introduced me to this company and this position. A phone conversation was set up with the lab manager through the recruiter, was told the will "most likely" hire over the phone. They did NOT. Never received any direct contact information for the company thus could not send thank you letter or email. Waited a few days after the phone interview to hear from recruiter, recruiter set up on site interview. On site interview began with a half hour tour of the laboratory with descriptions such as "this is what you'll be doing..." then I was sat in a small conference room and was told I will meet with 4 people on the team. I was told by the first guy that this is a very entry level position and that I'd mainly just be doing a lot of cleaning and organizing yet the next few people did obviously not get that memo as they asked me incredibly specific questions I did not know how to answer. I left pretty puzzled, and heard back 7 days later from the recruiter saying I was no longer in consideration and I was given zero feedback.
