      Senior Consultant Interview

      Jul 11, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AECOM in Jan 2015

      Interview

Chat with HR, interview with 2 line managers, negotiation with line manager, communication with HR. The process was quite simple but long. It took the company long time to decide/reply to questions. Interview was technical and in depth. HR are not competent at hiring good qualified people - they do not understand what they are hiring, they just do what managers tell them to do never going the extra mile. They are friendly, though not helpful at all. Managers do not understand profiles of people - they only focus on what their actual needs, ignoring different personalities, interests, previous experience, skills.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AECOM in Aug 2023

      Interview

The interview went well and I had a positive experience overall. The conversation was engaging, and I felt comfortable throughout. However, it did take quite a bit longer than expected, which made it a bit tiring by the end. Still, I appreciated the opportunity to share more and connect in-depth.

      Senior Consultant Interview

      May 20, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AECOM (London, England) in Oct 2017

      Interview

The interview was a two phased approach which took two weeks to complete. First was with the hiring manager and two technical specialists and the discussions were primarily focused on my experience and technical abilities. A few competency based questions were asked but the session was overall non-rigid. The second interview was with the hiring manager and the business unit director. Again, the session was not rigid and focused more on my expectations and my potential aspirations in the role.
