I applied online. I interviewed at AIG (Amarillo, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
Applied online, local HR called about two weeks later to conduct a phone interview (20 min). HR called back (I think) one week later to schedule an in-person interview.
Future manager and one other manager were conducting the interview, very friendly and laid back atmosphere. Basic corporate-provided questions were asked, 30 mins.
There is a background check, conducted by outside company GIZ, they will call you back if there are discrepancies (dates of past employment, for example) and will give you the opportunity to explain those. No drug test.
Team work, detail oriented work ethic, and willingness to work overtime (up to 2 hrs/day) are the main things they are looking for.
