This was the worst interview process I have ever gone through, and I have interviewed/worked with some of the best trading firms around the world. This company, Akuna Capital, does not even take the time of day to speak with you in person after I successfully completed 3 ridiculous pre-interview math exams. The pre-interview math exams were calculations that are completely unnecessary to be a trader in todays trading world.
Round 1: Online math assessment: 384743 / 223 without a calculator. There are about 100 of these questions at this difficulty and you only have 7 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. I did pass but this is so unnecessary.
Part 2 of round 1: finding next number in the sequence.
Round 2: This is what made me decline the offer. They did not want me to come in for an interview nor did they even take the time of day to call me. Instead they want me to interview on a webcam with an automated interview system. Would I really want to work for a company that just thinks of me as a number? They don't care about your personality, your trading strategies, your skills, or how you fit in. They just care that you answer the silly "math" questions right, if you would really even call that math.
