This was Aldi @ 61-11 Junction Blvd, Queens, NY 11374.
I was called in for a group interview, which would turn into a one-on-one with someone from the hiring team. There was a large group of us around 12, so they split us up, as some toured the store, while the rest of us waited to do the one-on-one. Moments before I was to complete a one-on-one, another large group of candidates came in along with customers. At this point, the business hours had begun and only one register was open. The hiring staff was obviously ill-prepared because when they saw this new group, they began to frantically make room for them. This also showed when I was interviewed me. We were in a back room where it was loud and busy, and some of the hiring staff and store staff were entering and leaving. The interviewer only asked me two questions, then proceeded to answer some of my questions quickly and half-heartedly.
I just feel that not enough planning and preparation was placed into this hiring event, which led to me receiving a rushed, unfair, and lackadaisical interview. This was very disappointing because I had prepared all week, and actually wanted to have a discussion during my interview and get a feel for the management.
