The recruiter and director that I interviewed with were professional, courteous, and were able to provide good insight into the questions that I asked.
The interview was a typical textbook situational interview, and review of work history by the Director. The recruiter provided a detailed overview of the hiring process and the compensation package.
Cons:
Recruiter no-showed for the first telephone interview and did not follow up until she returned my phone call and email the following work week, and never address the issue.
The recruiter was late for the second scheduled phone interview.
The director was late for the scheduled phone interview.
The director told me she had wanted me to speak with another member of the management team, the interview was never scheduled.
I followed up with the recruiter and the director. The director assured me that I would hear from the recruiter and that AMN typically provides feedback within 48 hours. The director replied to my request for feedback while traveling.
The recruiter never followed up or replied to my request for feedback.
I hope that AMN provides a better candidate experience for their clinical positions that they’re recruiting for other organizations.
Advice: Closing the loop with a candidate regardless of the feedback, is essential to completing the candidate experience. An automatic standardized email is better than silence.
