I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Wyoming, MI) in May 2019
Interview
So this was bizarre. Months ago, I applied and made it through to the final interview for the Retail Sales position. I thought all went well, but then I got an email saying "We don't have a match." Then the other day I get a phone call out of the blue from Rebecca at the Wyoming, Michigan store saying I passed the initial interview and she would like me to come in for a meeting. I was excited about this second chance and we arranged to meet the next day. Ten minutes later she calls and says something about her Regional Sales Manager has already hired someone and she needs to cancel the interview. Whaaat? Over the past few years I've applied at AT&T several times, and I always make it to the final rounds, until I show up in person and they see that I'm 60+ years old. I would think you'd want to have a more mature gentleman around to speak with some of your customers, and let them know that even us old folks can be technically adept. (If it's NOT age-ism, then please tell me at what point I fail to meet expectations.) I have not applied at Sprint or T-Mobile, for I was hoping to be a sales rep for AT&T, as they have a superior product. But you know what .... If you're just going to get my hopes up again and again, don't call me anymore.

Interview
The store managers do not set up the interviews, they get set up at the corporate level and the info gets sent to the store managers. You interview at the store and then you will receive a call from a recruiter if you got the job.

Question 1
They asked me to pick a subject I know a lot about and told me to describe step by step how to do a task related to that subject.
easy and straightforward interview, just a standard dialogue to get to know if you're a culture fit. I don't think there was anything tricky about the interview. mostly a conversational dialogue.
Great interview process. Nothing felt forced within the interview. Open dialogue for perspective upon getting hired. Great recommendations as to different departments thats are within the company as well. Just be you and bring a smile!
