The interviews went well from my perspective. I first interviewed with the recruiter who asked questions to ensure I'm qualified for the role. She also wanted to make sure I'm potentially a good fit. She then said she would be recommending me to the hiring manager. A few days later, I received an email with options for meeting with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was on time and very professional. She asked questions specific to my background and expertise as it related to the role. but the process in hearing back took over 3 months without any communication even when I followed up with the recruiter.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Abbott (Minneapolis, MN) in Apr 2024
Interview
- Initial phone screen
- Multiple interviews with stakeholders/other team members
- Final interview with Vice President over business area
The interviews were all very straightforward. It seemed like no one really knew what the job would be doing through.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe your management style? What would your direct reports say about you
The first one was really good and I like it. The second one was more of a challenge than the first. Psychometric test was easy and I didn’t have to do a presentation or anything like that.
