I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Albuquerque, NM) in Jul 2012
Interview
I was recruited while shopping in a Hollister Co store. I spent several minutes speaking to a manager about myself and my current employment situation. I was invited to a formal interview with the District Manager at a later date. The interview lasted approximately 75 minutes. For the the first 30 minutes we simply had a conversation and got to know each other. The rest of the interview was laid back and conversational as well. I was asked several leading questions about my work experience, education, and social life. The goal was to see if my skills and personality would make for a good fit in the company. I received an offer by email a few days later. I accepted a position and was able to start within 2 weeks.

Question 1
The questions were not factually difficult. I was asked behavioral and experience based questions.
The first step was one of those automated ones where you record your answers to prompts. There was no human being talking to you which is fine it is just something that is difficult to get used to.

Interview
The interviewer was very nice and asked some follow up questions. She said they were going to message me in less than a week but I haven’t heard anything from them yet

Interviewing with someone else?
Applied online and received an email about a week and a half later saying they wanted to schedule an interview, I responded and did not hear anything back so I called the store. I was told to wait another week since “interviews were sent on mondays”. I went into the store and met the manager the next week and she said she would send me the interview link. Never did. Pretty ridiculous and unprofessional. Charleston location.

Question 1
None because they never actually scheduled one/sent me the link.
