I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Greenville, SC) in Feb 2007
Interview
I was recruited when I was in the mall by one of the current associates. I think they mostly only hire people who they recruit themselves instead of just walk-in applications. I was called for an interview the next day. I expected a 1 on 1 interview because that's how most companies handle their employee searches, but I didn't know that A&F has like 100 employees in their stores, so they do group interviews. They ask you to say the current tagline (phrase you have to say to anyone who walks in the door, no matter if they are 8 or 80), and I also think they assess you on how you are currently dressed, so I would try to wear something from A&F that is more of a recent season. They also ask how you or your closest friends would describe you ... I don't know what they were looking for but I said intelligent, talented, vivacious, ambitious, and dedicated. I don't really think they care much about what you say, as long as you look good. That's pretty much it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Seattle, WA)
Interview
The interview process was one on one with a manager. The interview was chill and easy, mostly because the person who interviewed me was very nice and friendly. Thus, I could talk more freely and show my personality. I got a call about a week later getting the job!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2022
Interview
There are group interviews for cast members with store management and one-on-one interviews for management positions with the district manager. The process is just using regular retail questions, i.e. about your customer service, how you would problem solve, and sometimes they ask about your hobbies.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If one cut of jeans does not suit my style, what would you do for me as the customer?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in Oct 2020
Interview
The interview process was simple. If they like your fashion sense you'll easily get in, also if you're pretty. Make sure to know your styles and its a major plus if you plan on going into the fashion industry.
