      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Columbus, OH) in Aug 2023

      Interview

First step is the application where you need your resume, CV, and unofficial transcript. If you pass the resume screening then you are sent a link to a one-way recorded interview (one-take) with 4 questions. If you pass that, you are contacted by a recruiter to schedule (2) 30 minute interviews, one with an associate in the position you applied for, and one with the recruiter. These are very casual, but make sure you know why you want to work there, why you like the company, why you’d be a good fit for the program, etc. They do big cut from this interview round to the next so it can take up to 2 weeks to hear back. The next round is a long-day interview/info session. You will be sent a project and retail math assessment to take prior to the interview day. You will also have a “coach” that you meet with before the interviews and you need to ask them as many questions about their role as possible to understand the position. The long-day interview starts with a career path presentation and info meeting in the first 2-3 hours and then you have 3 separate interviews in the afternoon (2 senior level associates, and a HR rep). If you pass this round, again this is very competitive, they will invite you to their home office to complete a group project/interview. They put you in a hotel for the night, show you columbus, the office, and they take you to dinner. It will be about 8 hours with the recruiters, so keep your stamina up! In the end, they “canceled” the program and the people interviewing for merchandising were all thrown to the side. It was disheartening because the process takes about 6-8 weeks and by the end of the final round you’ve dedicated at a minimum 20+ hours to interview with them and learn after the final round that there was no positions available. Is would still apply and recommend the program and company, but remember that even after the final round where the best are invited back, you may not get an offer at all. The recruiters are all nice! Whenever you answer the phone be prepared for good or bad news. They typically ask a few questions each time you answer the phone so make sure you are on your A game whenever you are speaking with someone!

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in Mar 2025

      Interview

I submitted my application for the Merchandising LDP Internship (résumé and cover letter). The following day, they contacted me to say they liked what they saw and would like to proceed with the interview process. I'm at this first round right now. They said that I will hear back in one to two weeks. But basically, the first round of the process has two components that they have you complete within the 72 hours they sent you the email. The Maki Assessment and My Harver (prerecorded video) interview. The Maki Assessment pretty much tested your analytical side. You get 12 minutes to answer as many questions as you can. You don't need to study prior to this assessment. It was nerve-racking for me just cause I haven't done that in a hot minute. My Harver interview you should prepare beforehand. It was 4 questions, and for each question, you have 30 seconds to review the question and 2 minutes to answer. There are no retakes of the videos, so be sure to know what to say. Good luck!!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

My Harver questions they asked me: 1. Name, year, university, and major 2. Which LDP do you want to be a part of, and why 3. Your proudest accomplishment 4. Where do you see yourself in the first 3-5 years and beyond that

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Columbus, OH) in Feb 2025

      Interview

I want to preface this by saying that this program is extremely competitive, and the process is lengthy. If you don’t hear back for a month before the next interview, do not get discouraged. Here’s a breakdown of the interview process: Round 1: HireVue with 5 questions. Round 2: Two 30-minute interviews: one with HR and one with someone from the department you're applying for. Round 3: Maki Math Assessment + Patterning Project (for Merchants). Round 4: Two 5-hour interview days. The first day is dedicated to discussing the role and asking questions. The second day consists of three 45-minute back-to-back interviews: one with HR and two with directors in the role you're applying for. There is also a math assessment to complete within HR. Overall, this process was long and draining. I was very excited for the role, gave it my all, but unfortunately, I didn't receive an offer after the final round, which included flying you out to home office of Columbus, Ohio
